Waratte! Sotomura-san v06c86

She’s baaaaaaack!  And apparently we’re back in December.

So yes, Waratte! Sotomura-san is back!  I’m continuing work on volume six and should hopefully have weekly releases for you barring crappy work schedules or out-of-town trips.  I’ll try to let the Sotomura junkies know about something like that ahead of time so they can manage their withdrawals.  As far as any other releases, it’s questionable as to when, but I’m hoping to start doing some Dainana Joshikai Houkou soon.  Any releases of that won’t be regular, I’m afraid, because I’m pretty much a one-man group except for proofreading help right now.  Anyway, happy reading!

Guess who’s coming back!

Waratte! Sotomura-san Vol. 6 Cover

Yes, finally!  We just got our hands on Volume 6 of Waratte! Sotomura-san, and it’s going to be an adorable summer.  Once I’m finished with the translation, I’ll move on to cleaning and typesetting, at which point chapters will be coming out shortly after.  To put an arbitrary time on it, I’d say you’ll be seeing Natsuki in action by the beginning of the summer, give or take a week.  Barring any crazy stuff happening, of course.

Special thanks once again to the amazing Saji for buying, debinding, and scanning the raws for me!

Oh my, an update

After a long, hectic period which finds me the new owner of a house and the ower of a 30-year mortgage, I am pleased to also report two Wonderland Translations-related things.

  1. I’m getting back to work on Wonderland Translations.
  2. The thing that I am working on now is the new volume of Waratte! Sotomura-san!  Many thanks to Saji for delivering the latest volume for me to work on.  I’m doing the entire thing myself at this point (translating, cleaning, typesetting).  It might take a few weeks before releases start, but I’d wager you can expect to see some Sotomura sometime in January.

As an aside, the Sotomura drama CD project is not dead, but it was put on the backburner a few months back.  It’s more of a slog than I anticipated, and I burned myself out on it.  I plan to try and pick up work on it again in the next couple months, too.

tl;dr – SOTOMURA INCOMING

June News Bites

Here’s a couple things going on with the group and our projects.News Bites

  • There won’t be any releases next week as I’ll be out of town enjoying A-Kon in Dallas, TX with some friends.  Another member of the group will be there, too, so if you happen to see us (we’ll be wearing our own Wonderland Translations badges along with the con badge), feel free to say hello.
  • Pocha Pocha Suieibu has been placed on hold for now as the cleaner/typesetter for the project apparently has drowned in overtime work at his job.  We’ll start releasing it again as soon as we’re able to.
  • We’re slowly working on the Waratte! Sotomura-san drama CD!  Thanks to @Kibbitz2000, we got a hold of the raw audio.  It’s a slow go for me, as I’m better translating written Japanese than spoken, but we do plan to release it at some point in the future.  He’s also agreed to time/encode it for release.  So many thanks to him!

Welcome Nepenthe to Wonderland Translations!

A new member enters the fold! Nepenthe is joining our staff as a proofreader/QCer for all releases over the summer.  She’s already saved one chapter from my nefarious clutches, and I’m sure many more will be thankful for her observant nature.

About: Nepenthe is currently a full-time broke college student, up in the land of horrible winters. AKA upstate New York. She studies geology, because geology is really really cool. Other interests include music, writing, reading, wasting time on the internet, and bugging people on Skype. You can find her over on Batoto.

Welcome Tsss to Wonderland Translations!

Mem-ber! Mem-ber!  We’ve got a new member at Wonderland Translations!  Tsss will be doing cleaning and typesetting for us.  He’s had experience with other groups, and I’m happy to say that we’re already moving quickly along on two great new 4-koma projects, one of which you’ll start seeing before the end of this month!

A word from Tsss: I hope you all enjoy our releases and I’m looking forward to our feedback.
